    This walk will be accessed by train and bus. The walk involves walking Patonga Beach, then bush tracks and a fire trail over a headland past Warrah Lookout. Pearl Beach is next, followed by walking on the rock platform, around Mount Ettalong to Umina, Ocean and Ettalong Beaches. We round the corner into Brisbane Waters and under the Rip Bridge on to urban streets and shared paths. Optional recovery drink at a pub in Woy Woy.

    Details:

    Coastal walk on the beautiful Northern Beaches, starting at Palm Beach and ending at Warriewood Beach.  Some walking on roads but mostly on tracks and the beach.  This walk is public transport accessible.  Lots of short steep ups and downs but worth it for the picturesque views.  I've limited the number of walkers due to the popularity of this track on a Sunday, so please be sure you can make it that day (light rain or shine) before booking.

    Join Ed and co-leader Denise on this walk through Lane Cove National Park on well marked bush tracks following the Lane Cove Valley. We walk from Macquarie Park Station to De Burghs Bridge and then onto the Great North Walk to Thornleigh. The walk will be at a relaxed pace.

    Enjoy the variety of this walk as we head down through the heathland to the Deer Pool where we will stop for morning tea. After a quick break it is out along the fire trail until we reach the Coast Track for beautiful coastal views where we might see the first of the whale migration!  For a change of scenery, we will head out to the Marley Lagoon sand dunes for our lunch break.  We then head back to the cars after crossing back along the Deer Pool Track.  Walk graded 3 as parts of the track are quite rough. There is no public transport for this walk.  We will need to carpool and will meet at Sutherland Station.  Please advise when you book if you have a car and are willing to take passengers.

Photons have been set to stun, so save up your oooh's and aaah's for the biggest thing since sliced organic, ancient grain, free trade, carbon neutral, politically aware bread.     Join Ed and Denise on Ed's favourite inner city walk. We follow the Parramatta River along Yaralla Bay and Chicken and Hen Bays.  After lunch at the Canada Bay Club, we then continue onto Abbotsford. The walk will be at a relaxed pace and you can drop out at Cabarita. The walk is on well marked paths with a touch of road walking. It is a good introduction to Grade 3 walks.

    A visit to the site of Sydney's first zoo, with life-size sculptures of the animals and situated on the northern shore of Botany Bay. Bushland hugs the shores of picturesque ponds with ducks, geese, tortoises and fish. There are many shady walks and gardens to explore. The adjacent Foreshore Reserve is interesting as it overlooks the Container Terminal, with interpretative signs explaining the terminal's operations.
